Last updated 5 August 2026. This policy explains what Innovateium (Pty) Ltd does with personal information collected through innovateium.co.bw, including the project brief and contact forms used to request a quote.

Who we are

Innovateium (Pty) Ltd is a technology company registered in Botswana and based in Gaborone. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy. Reach us at info@innovateium.co.bw with any question about it.

Information we collect

Contact details you give us: name, role, company, email address and phone number, submitted through the contact form or the project brief.

Project information you give us: what your business does, who your customers are, the goals, scope, features, budget range and timeline of the work you want quoted, and anything else you choose to write in the free-text fields.

Technical information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and referring pages. This is used to keep the site secure and to understand which content is useful.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, identity numbers, banking details, passwords or other sensitive information through these forms.

Why we use it

To prepare and send you a quote. When you complete the project brief, the answers are read by our team and used to scope the work and produce a proposal covering scope, timeline and cost. That is the only purpose the brief exists for.

To reply to you and follow up on an enquiry, including asking clarifying questions about your brief.

To deliver and support work you engage us for, and to meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.

To operate and improve the website. We do not sell your information, and we do not use the details you submit for unrelated marketing without asking you first.

Legal basis

We process this information on the basis of your consent when you submit a form, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business, in line with the Data Protection Act of Botswana.

Who can see it

Access inside Innovateium is limited to the people who need it to answer you or deliver the work.

We use service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: our website and database hosting providers, and our email delivery provider. They may store data outside Botswana, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

We disclose information to anyone else only where the law requires it, or where you ask us to.

How long we keep it

Form submissions are kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, so we can pick up a conversation where it left off. If the enquiry becomes a project, the related records are kept for the duration of the engagement and for as long afterwards as our legal and accounting obligations require. You may ask us to delete your submission sooner.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, submissions are stored in an access-controlled database, and administrative access requires individual accounts. No system is completely secure, so we ask you not to send confidential material through the forms; tell us it exists and we will arrange a safer route.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to make the site work and to keep it secure. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Your browser can block or clear cookies, though some parts of the site may then behave unexpectedly.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent for us to keep processing it. Email info@innovateium.co.bw and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information and Data Protection Commission of Botswana.

Other sites

Our pages sometimes link to sites we do not run. This policy does not cover them, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

Changes

We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.
